Why Salt River Project

SRP is not just a utility company, it's a lifeline for our community, a guardian of affordability, reliability, and sustainability in the realm of energy.

Cost-Effective Rates

SRP consistently offers some of the lowest electricity rates in the region. Their commitment to efficiency and smart resource management allows them to pass savings on to customers.

Efficiency Programs

SRP offers a range of energy efficiency programs designed to help customers reduce their overall electricity consumption. By promoting energy-saving practices and offering incentives for energy-efficient appliances and upgrades, SRP empowers customers to lower their bills even further.

Community Ownership

As a not-for-profit community-based utility, SRP operates with the best interests of its customers and communities in mind. This structure allows SRP to prioritize affordability and reliability over profit margins, ultimately resulting in lower electricity rates for its customers.

Rate Stability

SRP works diligently to maintain stable rates over time, shielding customers from sudden spikes in electricity costs. This predictability is crucial for budgeting and financial planning for both residential and commercial customers.

Renewable Energy Initiatives

SRP is committed to expanding its renewable energy capacity while keeping costs low. By investing in technologies like solar and wind power, SRP can harness clean energy sources that often come with lower operational costs over time.

Transparency and Accountability

SRP maintains transparency in its operations and decision-making processes, ensuring that customers understand how their rates are determined and how their money is being used to benefit the community.

Diverse Energy Portfolio

SRP's diverse energy portfolio, which includes sources such as hydroelectric, solar, and natural gas, allows them to leverage the most cost-effective resources at any given time. This diversity helps mitigate the impact of volatile fuel prices on electricity rates.
